    Step 1:  Drink Lots Of Water

    Then drink some more.  Surely, all of my Moon Luvers out there should know by now how important drinking water is because all of the Moon Luv Skin Care blog posts begin with the importance of drinking water for the proper maintenance of a Moon Luv glow. But, each season requires massive amounts of water for different skin hydrating benefits.  In the fall, as the air begins to thin your sinuses & your skin begin to dry out.  So in order to have an optimal Moon Luv glow, drinking water is life.

     

     

    Step 2:  You Need To Nourish Your Skin

    Give your skin a little boost to keep glowing. Girl, you need to practice a little green beauty.  You can either do this by doing one of the following:

  • Winter Skin Care Tips

    Baby its cold outside!  The cold, dry harsh weather is here and so are the holidays! Now, darling, Remember: When the winter months come in, you lose the moisture in your skin.  Also, when it gets colder outside you tend to wrap yourself in heavy layers of clothing that rob your natural skin of its natural moisturizers, leaving your skin a bit lackluster and dull. want to get closer & all of a sudden you are that much more cuddlier.  So, its important to keep your skin (and hair) kissable, touchable & huggably soft.  How do I do that, you ask?  Well keep reading & we will fill you in on how to keep your skin luminous & silky all winter long.

     

    Tip #1

    Soak in the tub

    Soaking in the tub will soften any dry, dead skin cells, allowing them to be able to be easily buffed away.  You should also add skin conditioning baths soaks such as, the Moon Luv Black Lava Salt Bath Soak. Its warm vanilla scent will calm you and put you in the seasonal mood as its enzymes work to soften & exfoliate your skin.

     

    Tip #2

    Moisturize

    To prevent your skin from losing skin firming lipids and anti aging moisture, lock them in with a good body creme. You should use a body cream beacuse of all of the friction from all of the layers of clothing you wear while trying to keep your body warm.   • The Importance Of Having A Skin Care Routine

    With everyone upping their "selfie game" with various color correcting, strobing, contouring and non-touring techniques, we are forgetting the first step in being beautiful.  Having a smooth, healthy, canvas to put all of that paint on. For all of you beauty new comers out there, let me break it down for you.

     

    In order for your make up to go on smooth and look it's sexy best, you must have smooth skin.  You can pile on the primers, heavy coverage, media filters etc.  But, you are actually exacerbating the problem.  To optimize your beauty filter's performance, you must filter all of the toxins out of your skin.  Be it whether the toxins manifest themselves in the form of acne, blackheads, whiteheads etc.  You must find a skin care regimen that works for your skin type.

     

    Most skin care regimens are made up of three main parts:

    • Cleanser
    • Toner
    • Moisturizer

     

    Now, when you go into the store to purchase these items, you will find that you have to choose from, not just the different brands, but also the different skin types.  The main skin types are:

    • Sensitive Skin - skin that can't tolerate a lot of different chemicals & breaks out easily.
    • Normal Skin - skin that doesn't generally have many issues, not too oily nor too dry.
    • Combination Skin - skin that is mostly oily around the nose, cheeks and/or forehead.
    • Oily Skin - skin that is acne prone, has blackheads, whiteheads, sebum overproduction etc.
    • Dry/Mature Skin - thirsty skin that can't get enough moisture.
